Fishing in the Rena with a dutch friend.
Water temperature is around 18 degrees.
Next to no hatching insect but some steady rising fish. Later in the evening there where sedges 8-10 mm hatching. Still no significant rises.

By the way, if you happen to find a green fold-a-cop on the west bank of the river, can you return it to me?! Thanks!

Nærmere bade- enn vadetemperatur i Rena.

Er ute på en oppsynsrunde ved Renaelva nå. Tidligere i dag var det 29 grader i lufta og 19,9 i elva. Godt og varmt med andre ord. Så langt har det vært lite vakaktivitet og lite fiskere.

Holiday on the coast

I had a little family trip to the coast to just have some fun and be in other surroundings. Just like every trip the topic was fishing; what, where and how.
Well to be short, the fly rods were not included.
The fishing was all based on what the kids wanted, only to get "as much as possible" as a reply. We managed to get "ørret, sei, lyr, torsk" and some other species.
We hired a boat and went on the sea to fish at depths of 60 meter and around the rocks with only a few meters of water.
The best thing was to get 5 kilo "sei" on a lite spinning rod, from the shore where the tent was built, with the kids screaming like crazy from enjoyment. It was great to see that the equipment, "2 for 1" abu spinning rods and reels with .20mm nylon and a 10 krone lure, gave absolute great return on value....

Next time i take a fly rod with me, or two ?!
