First Real fishing trip with the drift boats

The weather was really warm and the Trysil river is starting to warm up. Even when the river is 75 cm above normal the water temp. was 13 degrees.
Jan Hatten and I started from Mørsøybakken about 8 Km north of Trysil centre. We observed some Baetis hatching and the midges was really coming on, but the fish hasn’t turned on yet. We fished with a hearsear goldhead nymph and it didn’t take long before we came on the some fish. The first official fish caught in Europe in a Clakacraft was a grayling that measured 39 cm. Good catch Jan!

Now let’s just wait until it really starts!
